Photos of Installing our 15,000 Plant Hydro-Stacker System!

We began the installation in Feb. 2005. We started by digging the irrigation trenches.
Here our son Nathan saying "Daddy, can I drive now!"

Digging Irrigation Trenches

After all the trenches were dug, we put in all the underground irrigation pipe.

Plastic fabic in being layed down under the entire system.
Later the irrigation hooks up to the white pipes sticking up.
Our son Neal helps by handing out the ground stakes to hold it down.

Next, we layout and install the steel support pipe.
Notice "Bigfoot" (Nathan) in the background and Neal having
fun running between the pipes.

So far, this is what it looks like from a distance.

This is the truck the Hydro-Stacker Planters came in. It was packed full.

In the meantime we setup the Pump house. From here we inject the fertilizers on the left,
in the back are the controllers that turn the pump on & off, and control the automatic values.
Neal was a big help here as well.

We had the youth group from our church (Helmar Lutheran) for 3 saturdays in a row to mix the growing media, Perilite and Vermiculite, and put the stackers together.

Here is the system from a distance. Almost done stacking.

Stacker System almost done
This shows the pre-planted stacks. This shows the 2 irrigation systems.
One is shown as the little black lines going to the top of the stacks.
The other is supported by the steel pipes, and mists the entire system.
I apply foliar fertilizer through this.

Planting Time. My Father-In-Law Ray and neice Megan are planting the strawberry plants.

This is my other son Noah, "Helping" to test the misting system.
